permanent residency in Thailand for foreigners

Are you seeking Thai Permanent Residency status? Did you check the recent annual quota for foreign PR in Thailand? According to the 2018 quota, anyone who has been living in Thailand for any time period would be eligible to enjoy the benefits of a permanent residence permit. Interested individuals can submit their applications at the immigration offices in Bangkok.

However, foreigners who want to stay and work in Thailand must hold a work permit though they may not renew their visa each year. Also, permit holders can enjoy exemption from the law. For example, foreigners buying a condominium unit cannot finance the purchase locally. Thus they must use funds from abroad.

Once you have the permit, your children and spouse and your parents qualify to apply for a permit, respectively. When either of the parents of a child born, that child automatically obtains Thai nationality.
