Not sure about other foreign countries, but Thailand has set-up a system of virus control in place to welcome their tourists back. However, visitors’ return would be in a limited number of arrivals only, so as to test the virus control measures.
Understanding that the tourists could bring a new wave of the virus with them, the government will be more alarmed in terms of the numbers of travelers to be allowed at a time.
For your information,
- There will be forms to fill;
- The flights will be traced;
- As the tourists reach their destination they will have to give information of their whereabouts;
- The tourists will need to confirm they will stay isolated for the initial days;
To this, many questioned the necessity of allowing tourist visits in Thailand. The government expressed their fear that not doing this will make things worse as the premises may shut down and more employees may be laid off. And then it would be difficult for the government to be able to help them all.
Further, the government confirmed that all the visitors would be thoroughly monitored to ensure safety in the country while hoping that the locals will welcome them back.
Also, the prime minister assured that if the virus is detected, the government will do everything to contain it. The officials have drafted procedures to manage the arriving tourists based on their first destination to welcome them.
