4-Step Customs Thai Clearance Process For Import/Export

STEP

Submitting the Declaration

Complete the declaration form and submit it to the Customs system. If it has no error, a number will be automatically generated by the customs. The response message will be forwarded to the shipping agent.

Checking and Verification of the Declaration

The customs department checks and verifies the declaration and the documents submitted based on which they issue a Declaration and Payment number.

Payments of Import/Export Duties and Taxes

Make payments of the applicable duties and taxes. Currently, there are three modes of payment, including payment at the Customs Department, payment at banks and payment thorough e-payment system.

Cargo Inspection and Release

The cargoes are inspected to be released from the Customs custody. The freight forwarder loads cargo into containers and the cargo control report is transferred to the e-customs system.
